About Kathy's Practice
Kathy has been providing full-scope nurse midwifery care for her caseload of patients with Partners In WomenCare, S.C., since 1994.
She provides:
- Prenatal care
- Labor support
- "Catching" the baby
- Postpartum & breastfeeding support
- Well-woman gynecological care
- Menopausal care
- Family planning care
The unique thing about Kathy is that she is in solo practice.
This means that Kathy is available — "on call" — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She plans her vacations a year in advance so that her patients will know when she anticipates being unavailable. If an unexpected need to be away arises, one of Kathy’s nurse midwifery colleagues who practice at Evanston Hospital covers her practice for her.
About Partners in WomenCare
Kathy’s patients can use the services of the three Board Certified Obstetricians/Gynecologists at Partners in WomenCare. One of them is always on call as a backup during the birth if medical assistance is needed.
